Hello,

I'm looking for some advice on our predicament.

I came to Australia on the 457 visa. At the time, my wife did not complete the spouse application, as we were expecting our 2nd child. He has now been born, and we are waiting for his passport. We have tickets booked to come to Australia later in June, and don't anticipate being able to complete the spouse / children application before we fly.

Can anyone advise if they can enter Australia on a holiday visa, then apply for the visa whilst here?

Many thanks

Should be no problem as long as their visitor visa doesn't have a "No further stay" condition on it.

You know that your sponsor need to extend the sponsorship to cover your wife and children, right?

Thanks for the advice.

My company are aware of my family situation, but I will ensure that they are covered.

Is it normal / usual to have a "no further stay" condition on a holiday visa?

Hi,

Can you tell me which forms do I need to apply for my child who is born in India to a 457 visa holder. What could be the visa fee for the child ? It would be very helpful.
