Hi everyone,

I am a holder of a 461 visa. it is now on its second five year visa period. Just after its renewal, I met a man who is a permanent resident of Australia. Long story short, we got engaged and got married.

Froim getting married, my husband would like to sponsor me so I can stay with him here in Australia permanently but we do not know what visa to apply. Meaning from 461 visa to being married now, what visa do we need to apply?

I know it is in the website but it is too much for me to read considering that I am only using a phone to open. I sledom get a chance to go to the ;library so I can use a computer for the research. I bet it is much easier to ask. Has anyone gone this process?

You're married and here in Australia, so you would go for the 820/801 partner visa.
