Asking this for a friend.
This is her situation:
She is currently under the 573 visa and it expires on 15th March 2018.
She has a flight to Bali on the 5th March 2018 and returning on 15th March 2018 itself. She intends to apply for TR 485 visa which would give her a BVA which she can then apply for BVB to leave Australia.
Her main worry now is that the BVA only kicks in when her 573 expires while she is OUT of Australia. What can she do in this case? Can she just apply for a BVB right now so when her 573 expires on 15th March 2018, the BVB will kick in automatically so she can re-enter Australia?
**Alternatively, can she apply for an ETA so when her 573 expires on 15 March 2018, she can re-enter on the ETA? Then she can apply for the 485 Visa while in Australia**
