Hi my fellow FMs,

I am PR holder (190 with Victorian State Sponsorship), I am living and working in regional Vic too. My question is can I sponsor my wife for a 489 family sponsored stream(I know the partner visa stream, but that's a costly option right now for me I feel :/).
My wife is here on a visitor visa which will get over in May 18 first week.
1. I am trying to see if this can be done.
2. I know she will have to get her VETASSES skill certification and do IELTS or PTE.
3. Do I have to wait for an invite similar to 180 or 190 PR visa once the EOI is lodged for 489 F/S pathway?

For the sc. 489 visa your sponsor can be your or your partner's:

• parent or step-parent
• child or step child
• brother or sister (including adoptive or step brother or sister)
• aunt or uncle (including adoptive or step aunt or uncle)
• niece or nephew (including adoptive niece or nephew)
• grandchild or first cousin

A partner visa will be the correct visa for your wife, unless an eligible relative can sponsor her for a sc. 489 visa.

Hello,
I am applying for 489 state sponsorship rda far south coast nsw. My skilled employment as cleared by ACS shows 2 yrs of experience after deducting 2 yrs. (Nov 2011to dec 2013).

Experience requirement for 489 rda fsc for 261313 is 2 Yr. Does it need to be in recent 5 years or ongoing?
Please confirm since its not mentioned their portal. (I believe but am not confirmed that there was a rejection due to that)
