Hello everyone,
I have a question that I need an obvious answer for it

I will get a sponsor from my brother who is an Australian
He lives in designed area that will allow me get VISA #489 as I have only 50 points without my brother points which I will get

But I need it to be 65 points because i have seen that Software developer has been listed in high demand occupation that will need 65 point minimum

My occupation is Software Engineer which exists in SOL and CSOL
and my wife skill is Microbiologist which exists in CSOL

Can I get point for partner skills [5 points]?

Thank you in advance

If you spouse meets the below requirements, then you can get the 5 points.

Evidence to attach to your application
For you to be awarded points, you must provide documentary evidence that your partner has met all the basic requirements for the particular General Skilled Migration visa that you are applying for.
This evidence should include:
- a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for their nominated occupation (nominated occupation is to be on the same version of the SOL as the main applicant)
- evidence of age to confirm that they are under 50 years of age
- evidence of competent English language level
- evidence of one of the following:
-- that they meet the Australian study requirement in the last six months before applying OR
-- that they have been employed in a skilled occupation for a period totalling at least 12 months in the last 24 months before applying.
