Hi
I am planning to apply for 489 relative sponsorship visa leading PR in South Australia. My brother is an Australian citizen and living in SA for 2 years. I am electrical engineer, degree assessed by engineer Australia. However I don’t have any experience. I am getting confusion as some agents say i must have work experience before applying 489. I am afraid i wont be eligible because of this. And what about the work experience in electrical field after grant of 489. Please i am looking forward to hearing from some experts about 489 visa. Thank you

You don't need work experience to apply for a relative sponsored 489 visa. You must have at least 50 points. But the more points the better.
I have contacted SA immigration office. They told me that i am ineligible at this moment so i have to go to SA first and work there for six months. But they mentioned as state sponsorship despite of my query about chain migration. So i wonder if i seek employment, whether it must be on skills I assessed which is electrical engineer or it can be any work. Please kindly reply
