Hi everyone,
I'm looking for information regarding the 5 year limitation and who it actually applies to.
My partner and I have been together for almost two years and want to apply for a partner visa once his student visa expires in October, but our immigration lawyer wants us to apply in June. My partner was previously on a partner visa with his ex and it has only been 4 years since they applied. We have seen an immigration agent as well and she was in complete opposition to our immigration lawyer, saying the 5 year limitation applies to both of us.
I know there is definitely a 5 year limit for the sponsor, which is fine because I've never sponsored anyone, but is there also a limit for the person being sponsored?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
