Hi guys,

I am just wondering if anyone knows about the process of "Sponsorship for a Partner to Migrate to Australia"?
I am going to apply for 820 visa the end of this month as I am still waiting so documents.
However, the immigration website and some agent websites say I have to get my partner's sponsorship approved prior I can lodge my 820 application.
Does anyone know how long will it take to get approved?

Or, I saw some previous post said they did not realize they have to get the sponsor's sponsorship approved beforehand. and they submit the application after or at the same time.
Will that works?

The information is very confusing. Could someone help me?

There currently is no requirement to lodge the sponsorship application first, but this new requirement may be implemented anytime in the next few months.

As it is now, the sponsor should provide police certificates with the visa application. After the visa application has been lodged,you lodge the sponsorship application.
