Hi Everyone,
Just wondering what the visa department class as time apart, in the 5 1/2 years of living in Turkey with my partner.
I have visited my family 3 times in Australia ,would I need to clarify each visit on the time spent apart.

Hi Cathy48 -

Generally speaking a temporary visit to family etc outside Australia would not represent time living apart as long as you continued to maintain your residency (ie, home, furniture, your possessions) at your home with your partner. For the partner visa, note the question "Has the applicant lived apart..." - a temporary trip to visit family would not generally constitute "living apart" unless you stayed outside the country for an extended time.
