Hi just wondering if there's a chance that we will get our 801 visa this month?
We applied our 820 and 801 last may 2016 got the 820 last feb 2017 and it said in our immi account that its finalised. What does it mean? Thanks

Not likely. You're eligible for the 801 this month but current processing time for the 801 are 75% of them processed in 16 months or less and tha time is from date of eligibility.

You also need to do another online form and provide supporting documentation of your relationship since the grant of your 820. Click here and go to Step 5, then follow the link to get to the checklist.

You need to log in to immi, select new application, click family, then select Stage 2 permanent visa assessment.

And finalised means that the case is closed. Your 820/801 application will say that because you got the 820 grant. But for the 801, you need to do another online form for stage 2 and then you'll be given a status for the 801 stage.

The process should be explained in your original visa grant letter. I wonder if anyone ever bothers to read them....

And it also said in our visa that we do not need to make a futher applicatio fo the permanent visa. Generally, applicants became eligible two years after the date of lodgement of the combined appication. Im not sure of this one?

Because the 801 eligibility stage is an assessment, not an application. Again, you already paid for and applied for the 801 when you made the combined 820/801.

I've already given you the link and the information is clearly listed on there. If you don't want to follow the advice, then don't. But the answer isn't going to change. Everyone needs to complete those steps and submit supporting documentation that the relationship has continued since the grant of the 820.

You are not making an application as you do not pay another fee you are providing documentation showing you are still in a relationship and it is ongoing.

If you do not provide documentation immigration will assess the application based on what you have provided which is nothing which will result in a refusal.
