Hi All,

Few questions. Am trying to figure out a few things for my girlfriend who is from the US:

a) Skilled assessment - for the employment part does that have to be assessed by the institute (ICAA or CPA) to get credit for relevant work experience? Ie: immigration department won't assess this?

b) If she has a CPA from the US - that won't be valid for the bachelors points correct of 15 ie: I assume will be considered as "An award or qualification recognised by the relevant assessing authority for your nominated skilled occupation" and therefore only 10 points?

And anyone with experience on whether US Bachelors have had any issues getting recognized if she has a valid Bachelors with focus in Accounting and tax? And does this once again have to be assessed by an accounting body "A Bachelor degree from an Australian educational institution or a Bachelor qualification, from another educational institution that is of a recognised standard."

c) If she has experience at a Big 4 in their tax team (which involves general accounting and tax) and now working at a corporate doing financial accounting how would the bodies look at the tax experience is it likely that would be counted?

d) What's the number of points right now for accountant general- is it 75 and if you are below it is it black/white that they will not consider you?

Thank you again with the help :)
