Hi,

I'm a computer profesional working with e-commerce and SEO. I wish to migrate to Australia as a General Skilled Independent migrant for which I need to get my skills assessed by ACS.

I have some questions:

1) SEO or e-commerce Specialists are not mentioned as an occuption at the ACS website document at https://www.acs.org.au/assessment/docs/PIMGuidelines23February2009.pdf

What should I nominate as my occupation?

2) 4 years experience is required by ACS. Would it be okay to submit work experience certificates from 2002 to 2006 if I apply to ACS in 2010? This is because I may have difficulty obtaining references from multiple employers from 2006 to 2010 because I changed quite a few jobs.

I'd be extremely grateful if i could get some help.

Don't know what SEO is but ACS have a category [nec] "not elsewhere classified" I think and they also have an extensive FAQ on their website re experience.

I've heard of people submitting statutory declarations to cover documents unable to be provided but I'd expect your application could be looked upon more favourably if you at least have some for 2006 to 1010 as it does not sound too plausible to not be able to get anything at all.

If there proves to be no suitable professional classification in ACS, you may have to look at Vetassess re an associate level occupation.

ACS assesment

If it is not possible for you to get a suitable work reference (in the required ACS format) then you have to provide a statutory decleration supported by at least one of the following: Colleges reference, Pay slip, normal HR reference letter,etc...

Good luck
