Hey there!
A little background about our situation... I'm an Australian citizen & was living in Canada where I met my partner. We moved back to Australia in 2012 to have our 1st child & applied for the Partner Visa (subclass 309 & 100). We were approved for the temporary visa (309) after being home for about 2 years. We then decided to move back to Canada in 2014 so we withdrew the permanent resident visa application before the subclass 100 visa was completed (we were not able to get a refund).
We have now been back in Canada for 6 years, and we would like to move back to Australia in approx 2 years give or take so will start the visa process soon.
I'm wondering if anyone else has re-applied for the same sponsorship visa a 2nd time? Or if we can somehow bypass the paperwork (one can hope!) or the fee?
The only information I can find on Withdrawn applications is if the relationship ended which is not the case for us.
Any advice or personal experience in regards to this situation would be appreciated!
Here's to hoping that we can skip paying for & dealing with the process of this visa twice
