How long have people had to wait for their national police check? This is now the 11th working day and we’ve still not heard anything back - I’m starting to stress now because my 28 day time frame is ticking..... and also I leave the country on the 1st April so I was HOPING for a lucky grant before then considering I had my checks uploaded the first week of the request. Didn’t think they would take this long to get back to me as ive read other people’s have theirs back in 3-5 days ugh

You still have plenty of time. Don't stress over it. And as I already said, the 28 day thing doesn't matter if you've already notified them that you've applied for the check. People in the US were getting police check requests with 28 day time frames and the FBI was taking upwards of 4 months to do them. All they had to do was notify DIBP that they had applied and were waiting for the checks, and that they'd upload them as soon as they had them.

You are overthinking this and stressing too much. Try not to worry as it is not going to be a problem.

As has been mentioned, you have done all that you can. If it gets closer to the 28 day period, upload a receipt with a short note saying you have still not received your police check, but have ordered it. This shows you have taken action and done all you can from your end. As sky said, they are not going to refuse your visa on these grounds (it is out of your control).

It may just be a bit delayed. I ordered an AFP police check a couple of years ago and i recall it took almost 2 weeks to come.
I needed a new one last year and it took 2 days.

Im sure it will be there soon. If not, call the AFP and explain the situation, and they will most likely send another one out. Best thing to do is to try relax and be patient

As the other were commenting before you relay shouldn't worry about it.
Uploading your AFP receipt is good enough to show you were active and applied for it and once you get the certificate just upload it as well.
