Hello everyone,

We plan to immigrate to Australia, particularly Queensland, my de facto partner, my baby boy and me.

After responding to the points test my de facto facto gets 100 points, good enough for a VISA 475.
However we have to certify their skills with VETASSESS, it is professional fireman and wants to be in Queensland Ambulance Officer (area not yet defined). Are there people who attempted a Visa Regional to be an Ambulance Officer?

My others questions are, can we qualify for permanent residence in another state or territory, after 3 years of working and living in the region claimed?
And can they tell us thank you and goodbye after three years, even if we worked?

Thank you and sorry for my english, and if a similar post already exists ... (I found nothing with the advanced search tool).

Good day,

There is Commissioned Fire Officer on http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/_pdf/sol-schedule4.pdf and being able to apply for a 475 or even a state wide migration plan SMP 176 will be dependant on whether Queensland as your choice or other states do nominate that ocupation for their SMP.
A state sponsorship is not for an actual job and it is up to visa applicants to get employment once they have a visa and emigrate, so there is no thankyou very much, see you later as far as your visa goes but maintaining employment is just like it is anywhere, up to employer/employee and fire officers seem to have good secure positions.
Have a read of the full visa info via. Skilled - Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 475) and you will see that once the 475 commitments have been met, only living in a region two years and employed for one I think it is, the visa holder can then apply for the PR visa 887.
Once a person has PR, you can go anywhere you like - Skilled - Regional (Residence) visa (subclass 887)
You may even find if Queensland or any state has the fire officer on their SMP you will be better off doing a SMP 176 PR visa application.
