Hi,

I was planning to submit my EOI for 190 visa but when I checked the CSOL for few states I couldn't find the ANZCO 261313(Software Engineer). Does this mean that the occupation is removed from that state as I could see some closed occupations too but not for this particular ANZCO.

It will be available through:

- NSW state migration from the 14th July
- VIC if you have IELTS 7 in all bands and 3 years experience
- NT if you can provide evidence of an offer of employment
- TAS (I believe TAS also require an offer of employment, but please check)

Always lots of constant changes in these scenarios, especially around this time of year so it's worth checking the lists every week.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the response. I was checking Vic and saw that they are asking for 3 years post qualification. Does it mean after ACS whatever experience is left out?

And for offer of employment do you mean Employer sponsor, but wouldn't that be a different visa category itself?

VIC will go by whatever is written on your EOI, but of course your EOI should reflect the opinion of ACS

Some states have 'offlist' or 'special condition' scenarios that can include requiring an offer of employment in the occupation (or a similar occupation), from a business inside the state, before a state nomination will be approved. Essentially this is a concession to allow migrants from less in demand occupations to relocate to the state providing that they can walk straight into employment. The terms of these criteria differ from state to state.

Adam, my ACS result show that my experience will be counted from Sept, 2012. That leaves me with around 1.5 years(I have a total experience of 6 years in my occupational stream). This means I can say goodbye to Vic 😔 from my list and I don't have an offer of employment for other states too. It looks like I don't have much choice in 190 visa.

Do you see any options?

My first recommendation would always be to see if you can gain 60 points without the state sponsorship. The most common way people do this is by improving on their IELTS scores. NSW have also announced they are keeping the same list as last year, so from the 14th July it will be on there (if what they say is correct).

Other than this it's hard to make suggestions as I don't really know the details of your case.

All the best,

Just to confirm one more time. Vic is expecting 3 years of experience post qualification in ACS or before it?

VIC will simply look at your EOI and see what experience you have put on there, they won't conduct their own assessment.

The problem is your EOI should reflect the opinion of the ACS as the case officer will give regard to this opinion when making his/her assessment.
