Hi. I am a civil engineer and new to this forum. Done my bachelors in 2013. I want to know about Engineer Australia CDR system. If my assessment is not positive or they ask me to apply as civil engineer technician etc. as I have heard BS Civil engineers talking about this, what are my chances for Australian immigration? Will my points be 15 still for education? It is not necessary that I go there as civil engineer, but I want to have Australian immigration any way. I have 6+ bands but less than 7 bands in each module of the IELTS. Can anyone guide me how it will work for me?

Age: 26
Qualification: BS Civil Engineering (not assessed yet)
IELTS: 6 bands each (6.5, 7.5, 7.0, 6.0)

Usually the only issue regarding whether you're assessed as an engineer or as a technician is that the occupation may not be on the right list for a 189 visa and you'd need to look at state or employer sponsorship, so perhaps check that out. Regardless, if your bachelors degree is equivalent to an Australian degree, you'd still be able to claim 15 points for it.
