Hi,
I am Hashes, I live in Melbourne, I am married, I will be using this site to find out
more about the Australian Immigration System.

Reason: My Wife has a Son, who is married, and they have a 7 year old son.

They wish to migrate to Australia from the Philippines.

At this time, we are seeing a Philippine Migration Agent.

The only way they can Migrate to Australia is on a Student Visa.

And to under take at least 5 years of Study, with no guarantee of being issued with a permanent Visa.

Monies required for all of this would be approx $250,000 +

This is ridiculous.

With this System, you can lose everything you own.

Is their any other way my wife's son and family can migrate to Australia.

Do he or his wife have qualifications in anything? With a bit of luck it could be on the skilled work shortages list if they do and they could come over on the skilled migrant visa?

I think it depends on where you did your education. I'm a registered nurse and there were some people doing the 3 year course in 2 years who were qualified overseas. It depends on whether Australia recognises the qualification. I'm not sure if it's the same with teaching or not. You would have to contact the teaching board I think.
