Hi,

I am applying for Australian Partner Visa from India. Who could be a witness for Form 54. Would it be enough that my Father sign as the witness?
Why? Who told you to provide a form 54 with a partner visa application?

Hi, Now I am confused. One of the recommended document is Family Composition and Form 54 is the Australian Immigration format for capturing Family Composition which needs the signature of the Applicant and the signature of the Witness. I found Form 54 to be very practical.

Again, now, I am wondering if Form 54 is not used, is there a document in India that could replace it and can be used as Family Composition document?

Well, there is no harm in using form 54 if it is recommended, but I have never heard of it being used for partner visa applications.

All the details about family members are provided in the actual application anyway and again in form 80.

Form 54 is typically used with tourist and student visa applications as far as I am aware.
