Hi guys! My current PMV getting expired on 29 May and tomorrow I’m lodging my Temporary Partner Visa 820. I wanted to know when should I expect the Bridging Visa A to be issued? And has there been any case where an applicant was issued his/her BVA later than the expected date?

Assuming you apply online and have made a valid application, your BVA should be confirmed immediately.

Hey thx mate! Btw I lodged the 820 and immediately got the BVA, however it says the status is inactive. I assume it shall become active on the next day my PMV is expired right? Coz it says this BVA will only become active if current visa ends before new application has been finalized.

That is correct. BVA doesn't go into effect until current visa ends, so make sure you're still onshore when that happens!

Thx dear. Btw I saw your posts on others which state that once you apply & pay for 820, then you're eligible for Medicare. Please confirm...

Read it for yourself. It's stated on the Medicare website that applicants for the 820/801 and 309/100 are eligible to apply for Medicare.

FYI, it's not an 820 application but a joint 820/801 application. The 801 part of that is an application for permanent residency (although you're not eligible until two years after the application unless the long term relationship criteria applies to you), and that application for permanent residency is what makes one Medicare eligible.
