Hi all,

My partner was granted a BVB visa. She travelled overseas to visit her family but due to a emergency surgery she was hospitalized and unfortunately she missed the return flight and she got released day after her visa expired although still not permitted by her doctor to move around much.

Now, here comes this rare incident that we'd have never thought of it.

What are the chances that she might be granted a visa to return to Australia while we're waiting for her Temporary Partner visa application?

Thanks,
Sam

Thanks. I was looking at Form 1005. Do you think we can use this form to apply for new bridging visa?
You can't apply for a bridging visa when you are outside Australia, so an ETA or a tourist visa would be the likely option.

I always insist that my clients allow at least 1 or 2 weeks extra on their bridging visa to allow for these sort of events. It happens more often than you think.
