bridging visa waiting time

Hey Guys

So I applied for my 820 subclass back in March and expected to be on the bridging visa for 12 months. Now I have recently checked and it is now saying 20-25 months. Is there anyway to speed up this process? Has anyone been to the embassy for a interview or does getting married speed this up? Any pointers or advice would be great, we just want to get the ball rolling on this and start applying for mortgages etc.

FYI having a 820/309 granted doesn't make a home loan easier. leaving my wife as a dependent was fine. putting her name on the loan and it would of had to of gone through a separate committee separate to the normal process.
mainly due to regulation changes I believe.
