I am an Australian citizen moving back to Australia shortly and was wondering if applying for centrelink could affect my partners prospective marriage visa (300) application in anyway? I'm the sponsor of her visa as it's under my name to support her. I funded the visa with my savings and would like youth allowance to put me through the last year of my full-time study. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!

CentreLink is legitimate income. Just make sure to declare the relationship with them.

So for clarification her visa is still processing; and if her sponsor is on centrelink payments that's something immigration wouldn't care about?

It's a legitimate income. I never had issues with people on pensions, dole or whatever. I take it you will have a roof over your head somewhere?
