Hi all, last year I had to enrol in a diploma course to extend my visa because my sponsor was delaying my last semester's tuition fee ( student visa expired, couldn't apply for 485). As a consequence, I had to get CoE from a college to have a valid visa. I paid their first-semester fee, however, not the second one because I had already applied for my 485 and got it shortly after. Now, they are demanding the fees from me. Apart from the legal point of view, which I think I should pay the fees, my question is: would the immigration office cancel my 485 because my student visa's conditions weren't met? I didn't pay and didn't go to classes. They emailed me that they would report me, not knowing that I'm not on a student visa anymore.

The long answer is also no.

Ps pay your fees otherwise you only make it harder for those that come after you...
I'll ask them if they can arrange a payment instalment because I really cannot afford to pay it in whole at the moment.
