Cancel a permanent residency

Hi all - hope someone can help me in my quest for an answer. I was married to an Australian woman but it failed miserably, and I relocated back home overseas to Norway. Prior to the break up I was granted permanent residency on my 801 partner visa, but hence the circumstances there won’t be any return to Aus except for quick holiday visits. I am no longer interested in keeping the residency, and I will try to access my super to transfer those funds to my overseas pension savings. Are there ways to cancel such a visa before it expires?
