Hi all,

I am currently on an eVisitor (651) visa and will be applying for 820 soon... my current visa will expire 19th of April. I was wondering if I can cancel the tourist visa so my bridging visa comes into effect sooner than April?

Did anyone try? is it even possible?

On my Immi Account when I go into the grant details of my eVisitor there is an option of "Request to cancel a temporary resident visa"... which is a bit confusing as a tourist visa is not a resident visa....

any insight would be much appreciated!

If you cancel your current visa then it will cancel the bridging visa.
You could then go onto a different bridging visa with no work rights and then need to address schedule 3 for the partner visa.
Short answer. Wait until April.
