Hi there. The way that the forum is set up requires that members have at least 5 posts before they will receive the permissions to send any private messages. This is put in place to prevent people from joining and just spamming members with unwanted posts. The 5 posts that are required should be meaningful content/contribution, not just pointless posts made just to try to 'up' your post count. We want to make sure that members are here to contribute to the open discussions on the forum as well. I hope that helps to clarify.
