Hi

I have a (probably very stupid) question regarding case officer allocation- so I submitted my offshore partner visa on 2nd September 2017, got an e-mail from someone requesting more information on 8th Jan. I provided the information on my immi account and clicked 'information provided' button. I went to try and e-mail them back at the e-mail address they provided- [email protected] and I got a bounce back e-mail stating that the e-mail address is not monitored and e-mails sent to that address will not be responded to!

I thought I must have misread but when I went back and checked the original e-mail from 8th Jan stated

'We prefer contact with this office concerning your application to be by email. We try to respond to all email enquiries within seven working days. You can email us on [email protected]". THIS MAKES NO SENSE as they don't respond to e-mails sent to this address!

How do I get hold of my case officer? Have I not been allocated an official case officer yet or I would have their personal e-mail address right? Or is that not how it works? I am so confused!

I sent an email to a similar address and got this message back:

Just out of curiosity, when you log into your immi account, what does your status shop up as?

Assessment in progress, it's been like that since first request for more information on 8th Jan!
If you've provided the requested information then all you can do is wait.

As long as you have uploaded the requested information to your Immiaccount within the designated timeline, and clicked the information provided button, there is no need to worry or email. Just sit back and wait for the good news!

You can no longer email any processing centres in Europe.
