Hello to all,

I am writing to seek some information about chances to obtain migration visa (either 189, 190 or 489) for the occupation of Mechanical Engineer

My brother has recently obtained a score of more than 79 in each module (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) of PTE (Academic).

Assuming his Bachelor's degree (4 years degree) is equivalent to Australian Bachelor's degree, currently, he has 60 points for migration. The break down is as below:

Age 25 points (He is 23 years old)
Degree 15 points
English Score 20 points
Total 60 points

Are there any chances of invitation for him if he plans to submit and EOI, after positive assessment from engineers australia ?

Please advise.

It sounds like there is a good chance. Several States are sponsoring this occupation. Problem might be lack of work experience.

Could you please elucidate if the statement "several states are sponsoring this occupation" relates to 489 visa or 190 visa ???

Currently, he has around one and a half year experience in his relevant field (Mechanical Engineering). The problem is with the age too. He will only receive 25 points until July 2019.
