Hi there,

My partner and I applied for defacto visa in may and have recently been told to submit his medicals. We are planning to move interstate before the visa has been finalised/approved and we are wondering if that will have any effect on the processing of the visa. Does anyone have any experience with moving whilst the visa is processing? I'm sure I'm making it into a bigger deal than it is but it's a big move for us and I want to make sure everything is in order.

Nope, it's not a problem. Some people even move to other countries while waiting.... still not an issue. There's a specific "change of circumstances" (or something similar) form you send your CO for change of address. Can't remember what it is off the top of my head but a search here might bring it up. If not, I'll go track it down for you. :)

Thanks CollegeGirl, I'll do a search and see what I can find in the way of threads regarding change of circumstances. Makes me feel 100 times better now. :D
