Hi all,

I'm going overseas for 9 weeks on BVB.

Since being on a BV, I haven't been out of the country for more than 14 days at one time so I've never changed my address before.

Do I need to change the residential or postal address (or both)?

I would prefer for mail to still go to my Australian address (my partner will still be there and I'm happy for him to open up any mail addressed to me and let me know about it).

I won't be staying in one single place for the whole 9 weeks so I'm just trying to figure out which address to put as technically speaking my place of residence is still the Australian address as I'm just going away for a visit rather than moving overseas,

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

If you can be contacted through your Australian residential address you will be fine. The department just needs to have your address and contact details so that they can contact you if necessary.
Thank you for your reply, Jeremy.

I wasn't sure if it was a requirement to notify them or not as the DIBP website seems to be very contradictory but in that case I'll leave all contact details as they are currently :)

Thanks again for your help!
