Hi
We are new to the forum and would appreciate any assistance to
relocate our daughter to Australia.

She is 22 and a full time student living in the Philippines.

I am Australian and my wife is a permanent resident here.

If people could provide us with a checklist, steps to complete forms, handling the whole process, etc. that would be greatly
appreciated.

Also what visa checklist class is she? 101?

thank all of you!

Thanks for the quick heads up Westly. Are there links where they show
mocked up forms that are completed?

Not as far as I know.

A letter to the minister:

Hon Peter Dutton MP
Minister for Immigration and Border Protection

Dear Minister Dutton
Please permit me to bring the following to your attention.
From the Australian embassy, Manila website:
Where to apply
Apostrophe man has struck in the next line.
Visa's available online:
- Visitor visa (Tourist and Business)
- Partner visa
- Student visa
- Short Stay activity visa
- Resident Return visa
- Citizenship by Descent
Leaving aside the issue of the misplaced modifier 'only' (it should be moved to between 'for' and 'through') the information provided below is false and misleading in a material particular. In particular, it is not required that any visa application be lodged via VFS, which organisation should not be offering migration advice, or leading applicants to believe that they are 'part of the embassy'.
Some visa applications can only be applied for through the VFS Global (Australian Visa Application Centre). Where to apply
• Transit
• Medical Treatment
• New Zealand Citizen and Family Relationship
• Child Migration
• Other Family Migration
Paper visa applications are lodged through the Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in the Philippines operated by our service delivery partner VFS Global. See: VFS Global
Best regards

I note you are in NSW. We are in WA.
Our daughter is in Davao which is a pain since the embassy is in Makati.
Can she get a physical in Davao or must she go to good ole St Lukes?
You are very helpful

Go elswhere if you wish:
From one of my novels, circa 1993, published 2001:

Australian Embassy
Migration Office
To whom it may concern

An unsigned and misdated letter from the Australian
embassy has arrived. This letter requests that I present for a
repeat p.a. x-ray so that my medical eligibility for migration
can be decided. I have complied with this request.
There are many unsatisfactory features of the
medical procedures required in my case and, I believe, more
generally. I intend to bring the general matters to the
attention of appropriate authorities in Australia. In the
present circumstances, I feel that it could be of some value
for you to have an outline of my views:
I am advised that there is no safe dose of x-rays. I
am concerned about being irradiated unnecessarily. I am
distressed by the fact that, to meet your requirements, I am
compelled by you to attend a medical centre of questionable
competence. I could say unquestionable incompetence.
My children were sent with no supervision to a
lavatory and were told to produce specimens-two
teenagers and one younger. If my husband had not been
there, they might have pissed in each other's pockets. There
is lot of that going on. New x-ray equipment was in place,
after about two hours of trials on patients the radiographer?
frankly admitted that nobody there could operate it. Patients
who had been waiting to be irradiated were sent to the old
equipment and were hastily rushed through.
We were compelled to sign blank medical declaration
forms provided by the Australian embassy. We
were informed that medical data we had hand-written on
typed sheets would be transcribed to the forms and sent to
the embassy. When my husband objected to this we were
told that it was always done this way.
After we made a point of enquiring, we were assured
that the x-ray films were technically adequate. They are my
property. I intend to claim them and have them evaluated, if
they are not eaten by the dog that ate my file. I am not an
animal and I object to being dealt with as if I were. I am not
stupid either-accredited practitioners. Bullshit. You can
smell the payola. Why not let me have a repeat x-ray done in
the province and send it to you? Are the Australian medicos
who deal with such matters unable to read an x-ray film and
decide whether it depicts the same person as two they
already have? Or did you lose them? Why don't we send a
picture of an ape and see if they spot the difference?

I endorse Westley's comment regarding running your application past a registered migration agent.
You say "our"daughter, I presume you mean your wife's daughter as any child of an Australian Citizen can claim Australian Citizenship by descent.
As the child is an adult, you will need to prove she is totally dependent on your wife. The potential pitfalls are many so to pay an agent is money well spent.

I have applied for 445 Visa's for my partners children. My partner is currently on her 820 visa. Not even one week after we applied one child was granted their 445 and the other is still waiting. The second one did their medical in Cebu so the results came a few days after the first child's visa was granted. The letter for s56 Request for more information was sent the same day as the other that was granted. It is impossible to contact anyone over in Manila Embassy and the VFSGlobal only tell you that it is still processing. I have sent a few Emails and still nothing.

So we have to decide if we bring one out then wait for the next one to be approved, which could be upto 1 year they tell me at VFSGlobal.

From what I have gleaned in reading documents, it appears that the sponsor must complete 40CH and send it to the child who completes 47 CH and submits both forms along with other supporting documents to the Australian mission in the Philippines.

That being the case what does the agent do since documents have to be
submitted in Manila?

Sending documents to and from just delays time and adds additional costs.

For example, daughter sends docs to agent. Agent collects docs from sponsor. Then agent has to send documents to daughter who sends to Australian mission.

Is there something that I am missing?
Thanks
Michael

Thank you any way Westly for your curtness.

I have gotten her a travel visa and have gotten my wife a green card for the USA which is much more difficult than Oz.

This is not rocket science. If you can read and comprehend then she'll be right.

But again this is your livelihood which I understand.

While you are wating, if you find yourself with nothing to do, try searching VFS and corruption.
