Hi everyone
I apply for my citizenship 14 June 2021
Got citizenship test letter 24 December 2021
I sit for citizenship test 14 February 2022
Pass with 95%
Because I added my 11years old daughter they requested for additional information for her mum to sign the consent letter to grant her citizenship,I uploaded the documents,then status changes to "further assessment"
But my question is that after all that I have a criminal record after the application before i made the application i didn't have a criminal record,will that still affect the chances of me getting approval?

That might depend on when they run their checks.
It also depends on how bad your record is.
Even after a citizenship grant, it can be cancelled for some criminal record situations.

Hi, Anyone waiting for citizenship ceremony invitation from Penrith LGA? I got approved in Jan 2022 and still waiting. Although Department website says it can take upto six months from approval, does it usually take this long? Thanks.

I sat for my test on the 12th of July 2022 in Melbourne and passed.However i have still not got any approval letter and my immi account status still says recieved?.

Received text for appointment on 14 Jun
Test date reschedule to 13 July
Passed with 100%, but haven't received approval letter.
Not sure my frequent oversea travel or I was found guilty with no conviction for assault in 2005 was the reason.
I asked for woman legal service's help when my ex-husband tried to power control me with my partner visa.
After receiving letter from WLS, saying if our relationship is continuing, sign my permanent partner visa form or will do the property settlement.
He recorded me while pushing me and screaming stop punching him, then scratched himself and called the police.
He told me if I agree not to do property settlement with him, he would drop the charge.
Although the assault was not visible in the video, I was found guilty as it was beyond reasonable doubt that I did it.

Hi any updates here for those who applied before 2021 and have citizenship ceremonies already, or those that have their citizenship approval around March or later this year but still awaiting or have a ceremony already?

Congratulations! Wow, you had your citizenship in less than 3 months. It must be different waiting times for everyone regarding the ceremony. Mine is about to go to the max processing time of 6months and still no ceremony date.
Which council have you applied by the way? And is your ceremony in the CBD? Thanks
