Hi all, I have read so many threads about this but am still confused, can you please tell me if my understanding makes sense based on what I've noted below - this is for 47SP:

1. Date relationship began - this is the date I am most confused about, Should it be same date as the de facto relationship began (#2)? Or the date that we committed to a shared life (#4)?

2. Date committed de facto relationship began - this is the date we began permanently living together, I reference this throughout our evidence and it's supported with our evidence (August 10, 2016)

3. Date you first met - this one is self explanatory (May 18, 2015)

4. Date you committed to a shared life to exclusion of all others - for this one I put the date that I first moved in with my partner as we were committed/exclusive, though we only lived together for 3 months before my working visa expired, then we did long distance for 6 months with a visit in between (November 1, 2015)

Thanks all. In my statement of relationship development I do go into more details, of course, explaining everything.

In short, you are explaining in your statement on relationship about how it unraveled and that clarifies the dates you have put in the form. It sounds like what we did, and the visa was granted.

If you made a mistake about a date you can fill a form to correct a mistake. We did, and it did not prevent us from getting the visa.

Regarding Number 1. I took this to be the date after we first met that our relationship ceased to be casual or dating and we began a committed relationship but not yet living together. Seems to make sense. Our agent accepted it.

Hi!

I feel like these questions are a bit confusing as well, and I would love some advice for myself and my partner.

Q4. This one is super confusing! We met in the US, but did not live together for the first 2 years of dating. He moved to Aus with me in September 2019. Even though we did not live together, we were committed to a shared life while in the US. Would this be the date we started living together? Or the date we became exclusive to one another while dating. Can definitely be interpreted in so many different ways.

Thanks for any advice!
