contacting DIBP for 801 visa change of circumstances

Hi everyone
I'm wondering what is the email for me to contact DIBP to politely push for a case manager to look at my 801 visa application?
I've lodge the 801 in November 2018 and have since given birth. I'm hoping that I could email DIBP to inform them of this change in circumstance and perhaps get them to have a look at my application.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You inform Immigration of the change of circumstances through ImmiAccount or by using form 1022. No point calling them up. They won't expedite your application, because you had a baby. You just have to wait in the queue like everybody else. Stage 2 processing can take up to 24 months.

Additional advice required for obtaining proof of citizenship for my child:
Can I apply for proof of citizenship for my child using my Immi account even if I'm not a permanent resident?
Or should my husband (who is a citizen) apply instead?
Just upload the child's birth certificate if born in Australia.

The birth certificate isn't enough for my child to get an Australian passport.
Apparently proof of citizenship document is required, which needs to be applied for.
Do I apply for it on my child's behalf or should my husband who is a citizen apply for it instead?
Sorry was not aware you wanted a passport for your child - that would have received different answers than you are currently getting.

Tip both parents need to sign for the passport application unless there is a legal exemption.

But I do believe that the proof of citizenship is required for the passport application, and in almost all cases in Australia "a legal guardian" can apply on behalf of a minor and in some cases both are required to sign/give consent.

If your husband is born in australia that would be enough proof to use that your child is an australian citizenship which you would not need to get evidence of citizenship from DIBP. I remember when i applied for my daughter's passport we just bring my husband australian birth certificate during the passport interview and they accept it as proof of child's citizenship

need clarification:
As a temporary resident (on 820 visa), do I have the ability/rights to apply for proof of citizenship for my child using my immi account.
No because it hasn't been applied for as a citizen by decent. You would need to go through the states birth, death and marriages office.

Where was your child born?

What was your partners citizenship status when the child was born?

How about if the father name is not in birth certificate ? Is there any questions for the father to sign too ? Thank you

Then that would require the mother to be an Australian PR or Citizen for the child to be eligible to be an Australian Citizen and obtain an Australian Passport.

If the mother is not a PR or Citizen of Australia and the father "unknown" or not on the certificate then the relevant country of the mother regulations need to be addressed.

I have a complicated situation tho. Maybe you can help about it. My daughter is an Australian citizenship by descent born overseas and I was thinking to apply her Australian passport because we live in Australia but in her overseas birth certificate, there is no father name since I'm not married to my ex partner. Do you think I have to send the form to her father ? I tried to call the passport customer care but it's only waiting tones for hours.
I believe that the fathers consent (or signature) is not required for the Australian passport application, as there is no document that exists that say's he is the father.

You will be classed in Australia as the sole parent of the child due to the birth certificate.

Thank you for the information. It's helpful and I'll go through without her father signature then. You're the best 🙏

There's a special form for if a child has only one parent's name on the birth certificate.

That only works if the parent was born in Australia prior to 20 Aug 1986 as just being born in Australia meant citizenship at birth (of course there are more specifics to it but generally speaking the statement suffices for this conversation).

If the parent was born on or after 20 Aug 1986, their Australian birth certificate doesn't prove citizenship, only that they were born here. So that parent would then need proof they were Australian citizens or PR at the time of their child's birth to then prove the child is a citizen.

Sure gets complicated lol.

Having an Australian birth certificate is not sufficient to establish that a person is, or was, an Australian citizen, or permanent resident.
Dam happy I get on very well with my ex of my children.

Certainly best for the children.

Thank you so much. I have printed and fill B8 and B9 form and actually both is similar. Thanks again 🙏
