Hi all,

I applied for PV820/801 in Feb 2018, with my son and daughter as dependents.
My son is in middle school and with me, but my Daughter is older and studies at university overseas. We all have Bridging Visas, but the duration on BVB is not enough to allow my daughter to finish her semesters abroad.

Is there a way to make it possible for her to stay offshore for studies, and only come into AU when we get a Notice of Decision from Immi?

Thank you.

The applicant must be in Australia for an 620 to be granted.
Same for a bridging B.
An 801 can be granted if the applicant is outside Australia.
All the best with whatever you decide to do.

"Bump"

Is there a smooth way to facilitate a dependent (not the primary applicant) on 820 partner visa application to stay overseas for longer periods during the waiting period?

My oldest son is currently on an 820 visa and is studying at University in the USA while our 801 visa is being processed. You do not have to be in Australia to have the 801 granted. However, you do have to be in Australia to have the 820 visa granted. My son was still in high school when our 820 was being processed, so was here in Australia.
