Hi,

I am 20 years old studying in Australia under student VISA.

My older siblings are trying to sponsor my parents and me ( as dependent child) to live here in Australia via the contributory parent visa subclass 143.

I was wondering if that sponsorship will affect my working rights under the student VISA as I was sponsored as a dependent child with no income in the 143 VISA.

Thank you so much!

It won't affect you. You will still have your student visa while the Department is processing your student visa.
well. my question is.

i am already on a student visa and recently my family has applied the contributory parent visa which also includes me as dependent child with no income.

according to the student visa, i have right to work for 40 hours per forth night.

however, according to the contributory parents visa which counts me as dependent child, I cannot work. if i do that would breach the term dependent child and this can expel me from the application

So, it conflicts with each other in terms of the the working rights.
I was wondering if this is true.

thank you so much for your advise!!!
