Hi Guys,

Thank you for helping me here,

i got my mother's 600 granted today, however it is only granted for 3 months, where she previously got 12 months subclass from Aug 2017.

I am not sure what I did wrong here, I would be extremely appreciate if someone point us to the right direction.

here is our condition:
-I am Australian Citizen, she is hong kong citizen.
-She arrived Aug2017 and left in 1 May2018, plan to arrive on 16 SEP 2018
-She have done medical exam less than 12 months ago, however we didn't provide HID number( as the doctor submitted it directly to immi)

i am planing to travel with her to NEW Zealand after 3 months has pass, then apply ETA (3months) return to australia. please advice if this works ^_^

should I re-apply for 12 months stay ?
should I get her to do another medical exam ?
would that any other reason she only get 3 months granted ?

Thank you very very very very much for your help

Except in exceptional circumstances, visitors will not be granted visas to stay in Australia for more than 12 months in any 18 month period.

As Westly has said, she cannot stay more than 12 months in any 18 month period. Since she's just been here for 9 months, she's only eligible to come for another 3 at the current time. Once she spends 6 months outside Australia, then she would be eligible for a longer visa.
