Hi everyone,

First of all thank you for all the help you already gave me. I couldn't find a post that replies to my last question though, I hope you will be able to help me.

I am currently working as an Industrial Designer for an employer who wants to sponsor me, but I'm doubting wether or not I am eligible to the 457 visa. I don't quite seem to fulfill the skills criterias. How flexible are those criterias ?

I read that for my profession (ANZSCO 232312 - skill level 1) I need a Bachelor Degree or 5 year of work experience, but I have an Advanced Diploma and 3.5 year of work experience (1 year as an Industrial Designer and 2.5 years as a Graphic Designer ANZSCO 232411). I could have letters of recommendation too, a good CV...

I went in person to Vetassess and they can't assess my skills (I don't have the Bachelor Degree). I called the Department of Immigration, the guy on the phone told me that it is the case officer who decides if I am skilled enough, so if I want to know I should lodge my application.

Do you think I am eligible ?

Thank You

Good news, thanks.

It still seems a bit risky to lodge my application without more guarantee but might be worth trying. I'm going to think about it.

Thank you very much wrussel for your time and for your reply.
