It was refused because the employer outlined different duties than what needed to qualify for the nominated role. What can I do now? My application online is still "processing". Can I get a refund on my visa?

No there is no refund. The cost is not for the visa....its for the processing of the visa. The visa was processed...it just had a negative result. You are paying for all the checking etc associated with the visa and that was done.

I'd suggest your employer quickly speak with a migration agent to see if a new nomination can be lodged and then a request to have your active application linked to the new nomination. This isn't something they should attempt without using a migration agent though.
