The ETA will override your WHV when it's granted.
So if you apply now and it gets granted straight away then it will be the ETA which you will enter Australia on.
ETA and working holiday visa
Hello! I currently have a valid working holiday visa, which expires on christmas. I am now in the Philippines travelling, and decided I want to stay longer in Australia to travel some more. I've decided then to apply for a tourist visa, but I wanted to keep my two last months of working holiday and not cease it. If I apply for an ETA now, will it cease my working holiday? Or when I enter Australia in november will I automatically enter in my working holiday visa and the ETA only becomes valid after that? Thanks!!
