Hey! I arrived here on a Working Holiday 417 in early December to be with my Australian partner, but it took us two weeks to find an apartment. I now need to book my flight home, and I'd love to be able to see our 1-year lease through (instead of losing two weeks rent on it). Is there any way that I could legally stay on that extra couple of weeks, even if it meant not being able to work or whatever? Thanks for any advice you may have!

Ah yeah, it's no big deal. I'd just rather spend that extra bit of time here if possible! Thought I'd just check to see if there's any leeway in case the visa was something like "one year, give or take a few days" but it's cool if not. I'm not at all privy to how these things work.

It is unlikely that a tourist visa will be granted after one year on a WHV, but it will buy you some time.
