Hi All,

Me and my husband are hoping to apply for 190 visa in NSW, as both of our occupations are available in NSW list. Anyhow we have 2 options because my occupation is also available in ACT list currently. My husband currently have only 55 points while I have 65 points (excluding the 5 points offer by the state).

However, we both prefer to apply for NSW than ACT. But in case if we lose the opportunity of obtaining the visa for NSW, we don't mind living in ACT.

My question is, for 190 visa do they give priority for the applicants who have highest points? Or they just consider the minimum required points (55)?

Since we are interested in getting visa for NSW, if they give priority for highest points should I be the main applicant for NSW instead of my husband?

Or should I ask my husband to be the main applicant for NSW, while I apply for ACT (to minimize the risk of not getting anything at all)?

Thanks
