Has anyone applied for family sponsored tourist visa at Brisbane office.
I want to know the processing timeline.

I applied for my brother's family at Brisbane on 27 March, acknowledgement received on 3rd April 2017, but after that no update.
Air tickets booked for 25th May.

You can share your or any known's previous experience and processing time.

Last I heard they were taking 6 weeks or more to process.

FYI - you are not suppose to book tickets until the visa is granted (it may be refused or be granted after your departure date that was booked).

About 25% of sponsored visitor visas are refused. No wonder they say don't book tickets before the visa grant.

I booked tickets because tickets from India to Adelaide availablity is very less specially for whole family of five in same plane.
Now just hope to get on time otherwise I have postpone.

75% in 39 days and 90% in 61 days ... the other 10%, well who knows.

Since you mentioned your brother's family, is your sister-in-law included in the application? If so, do you realise you are not allowed to sponsor in-law's?

You can sponsor spouse of your brother or sister. This is confirmed

Yes, we got visa on 24th May 2017

I applied for my brother and his family on the 31st of March through my immi account and got an instant acknowledgment with a request for biometrics. All done within a week but no response till today. Someone told us to call up Aus embassy in pakistan although it was done thru immi account. The lady said that decision is pending and is in the queue as the work load is high. My brother requested to expedite the process last monday but still waiting.
