Hi,

Completely forgot that I needed a transit visa for my connection of 8 and half hours in Sydney to Bali.

I have filed an application yesterday (friday) at around midnight. My flight starts from Lima Peru tomorrow (Sunday). There will be no way to get this visa before boarding.

Is the airline even gonna let me board?

If so, should I risk it and explain at the immigration counter and hope for an immediate approval?

After lodging an application for transit visa they automatically requested me to attain to a immigration centre for biometric identification... crazy stuff.

I highly doubt they will let you board. Airlines check to make sure all passengers have the appropriate visa and if not they cannot board. The airlines get fined if a person arrives in Australia without a visa.

It also goes on transit time from what I understand. I believe that Australia is transit time of 8 hours or more you need a transit visa.
