Hi guys,

I would very much appreciate some advice as to whether you think form 80 is necessary as part of the 309 visa application? I have been told by a couple of visa agencies that they're not generally required for someone in my situation.*

Just to give you an idea as to said*situation - I am a British citizen from birth and have always resided in the UK. My wife was born in Australia, moved to the UK about ten years ago and we have been married for eight years. She acquired dual nationality (Australia and British) about four years ago. Neither of us hold criminal records.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It seems pretty much the norm now and they've added it to the website under applicant documents not too long ago (Want to say around Nov 2016?). See here.

It's a pain to do but if I were applying now, I would probably do it just to avoid any delays. I just wouldn't want to take the wait and see approach just to be requested it and have to do it anyway, but that's just me.
