Hello!

Does anyone here know if the Form 888 (Statutory declaration by a supporting witness in relation to a Partner or Prospective Marriage visa) need to be completed by Australian citizens?

Also does anyone know if the 40sp (Sponsorship for a partner to migrate to Australia) needs to be completed or is the 80 form the newer version rendering the 40sp form redundant?

I'm also trying to find an up to date checklist. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Why does't anyone read the detailed instructions on the first page of form 888 ? In addition to what the previous poster copied in his response, there is also this:

Note: If the visa applicant is outside Australia and is unable to have an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident complete this form, any person who knows the applicant and their partner or fiancé(e) may also complete this form

Form 40 SP has nothing to do with form 80, it is the sponsor application form. You should use the online one after the partner visa application has been lodged.

Form 80 is for security/character checks.
