Hi,

My family members who are Australian citizens are in the process of assisting me fill in form 888 for my Partner Visa. However, they are not proficient in English. Is it fine for me to help them write in English on their behalf and for them to sign in front of the JP? I am concerned that if the case officer calls them they may find it suspicious if they cannot answer in English.

Would it be better to have the form written in the foreign language and then translated, then signed in front of the JP?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand it will be need to be written in English.

If I have helped my family members with the wording however, the family member has physically written it themselves and understand what they have written, and is signed, will this be acceptable?

My only concern is if the case officer decide to call them and find their English proficiency not great, will they question the authenticity of the form? Or am I worrying too much?

Thank you.
