From student visa to sponsorship

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. Basically i am in oz 3 years in october. Did the 1 year working holiday visa and then in 2016 went on a student visa which is valid till march 2019. I had chosen to do business and passed one of my courses which was 6 months then had to do another 6 months of a diploma which i failed as I didnt enjoy the course etc so this year I changed colleges and have just started a new course to do for the remainder of my visa. I have worked as a bar manager the last 2 years in the same bar and they have now asked could they sponsor me and I have all the experience so don't see why it wouldn't go through but I am just worried it will look bad that I had failed previous and now am backing out again of college that they might reject my application. Has anyone ever moved from a student visa without completing the course to a sponsorship?

Thanks

There are many reasons why nominating you as a bar manager would fail. You don't have a qualification at the appropriate level. You don't have at least two years verifiable work experience in an equivalent job. You employer hasn't tried to fill you job from the the Australian labour market. If you genuinely want to stay in Australia I suggest you talk to an expert and find out what you may have to do the achieve that.
I have the experience as i have managed this bar 2 years and was a manager in my previous job at home for 6 years but as a customer service manager for gaming. The bar has currently had an australian leave who only worked here 4 months and in my 2 years here its been pretty bad for manager positions and lack of Australians applying for it and leaving after a short periods and with my 20 hour work restriction on my current visa I cannot work those hours they want. Previous owner never sponsored people and was going to sell so he didn't want to sponsor incase new owners were going to change staff around and he has recently sold the bar and the new owners have said they will sponsor me as the aussie guy is leaving and i know the bar inside out and am well capable of it and am willing to do the nights and get a salary wage instead of penalty rates.
Also the new owners own over 20 bars and restaurants and have over 50 employees sponsored and are a pretty big group and good to work for.
