Hi everyone,
I'm on student visa and my visa will expire in August 2018. This is my last semester and unluckily i just failed 1 course. It means I have to continue studying. However I don't want to apply for student visa and i want to defer my study until next year.
I'm gonna apply for Spouse visa in July 2018. My question is do I have to continue studying after my student visa expired? Or Do I have to apply for student visa extension because i'm gonna have briging visa?
Thank you for helping me

Once you lodge an onshore application for a partner visa, you will be issued the bridging visa which will sit in the background until your student visa expires. You will be able to see what conditions may be included on the bridging visa, but typically when applying for a partner visa the bridging visa will have unrestricted work and study rights.
